In the 2005/2006 school year, the Central Emerson PTA raised $10,000 to give to Emerson Elementary for technology. Principal Craig Church used the money to purchase Document Camera Projectors for individual classrooms.

The Document Camera Projectors are used as an overhead view for the teachers, rather than using projectors with transparencies that need to be washed and replaced. They are computer compliant so the teachers can run a computer program on the screen and the whole class can see what is on the computer. They are also capable of running movies on the large screen.
